We, Nopaxton.com, are a growing group of Lodi and Saline residents that are concerned about the impact that oil and gas drilling and associated operations may have on our land and environment. Those who live here appreciate the natural beauty, clean water and air, and relative peace and quiet, and want to keep it that way. Based on substantial freely and publicly available information, it is clear that exploitation of oil, gas, and other mineral resources under our land may result in a variety of unintended, unwelcome side-effects, and we do not intend to allow that to happen.

If you live in Lodi or Saline and have been approached by a company calling itself Paxton Resources, or are concerned about potential side-effects of oil and gas drilling on your or your neighbors properties and want to learn more, please contact us at: nopaxton at gmail dot com

Paxton Resources (Oil Company) Using Michigan DEQ to Force Homeowners -- Please Come Out and Tell the State NO! (UPDATE)

NoPaxton was recently contacted by residents on Braun Road in Saline Township whose property is the subject of a compulsory pooling order being sought by Paxton Resources. These neighbors, who have lived in their house for many years, have been hounded by Paxton to lease their mineral rights and have thus far refused. They are living among numerous oil wells which are emitting fumes strong enough to prevent them going outside at times. This pooling order, should it go in favor of Paxton Resources, will FORCE these neighbors to sign away their rights AGAINST THEIR WILL. These folks are fighting it. They are the first who are treading this path and are doing it as pioneers in our area. It could be any of us in the future. NoPaxton fully supports their efforts. Remember, in this country, no means no, and people shouldn't have to give up their rights simply because a tiny, politically connected oil company wants to earn a bigger profit line.
On June 14 (when the hearing was supposed to occur) a group of activists came to the Saline Township Hall to support the Armbrusters, only to find the hearing had been rescheduled to THIS FRIDAY, June 21st, at 2 PM.  WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ANY AND ALL FOLKS TO COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE ARMBRUSTERS AND SEND A MESSAGE TO THE MDEQ - NO MEANS NO, AND WE'RE NOT GOING AWAY!  Please come this Friday to:
